hey, honey

my latest obsession, food-wise, is honey. maybe it's because i didn't have it in Sengkang at first for about a month, and i began to really crave it. maybe it's because i've always, always wanted to buy those cool orange blossom, acacia, etc honeys (honies? haha.) but because my mum hates the taste of honey she never believed that honey could taste different depending on the flower it came from. but whatever the reason, i finally went and splurged on a bottle of Marks and Sparks "Fairtrade Chilean Clear Honey" (instead of orange blossom and acacia, actually), because the description sounded sooo lovely: "A medium bodied honey with subtle fruity flavours and hints of vanilla and lavender".
So these few days i've been adding it to almost everything. water, milk (no, it's not gross! it tastes good!) and tonight, the last of my cream from the 'cny icecream'. and can i just say, if you thought whipped cream sweetened with sugar was good, it's fan-freaking-tastic with honey. dolloped it on top of some raspberries, and it was heavenly. just what i needed after a less-than-restful saturday.
