well, so the history paper was today. ugh.
i don't know what it is with me and exams. it's like my brain can only think in spurts/short phrases/key words, and putting them together in an 'extended, coherent, well-organised and factually supported answer'. ugh. it's no longer an issue of "oh shite, i seriously should have studied harder", as amazing as that may sound. now exams are shit cos i just can pull it together. it's not that i sit there hyperventilating and panicking, it's just that my brain refuses to perform at an A or A+ level. pfft. sucks.
so anyway, after the paper, came back to my room ravenous, and went down promptly at 5.30 to get dinner. hee. the line was the LONGEST i've ever seen it—although i've admittedly not gone down for dinner that many times—but the food was pretty good.
then, my mother called and lured me out, saying that since i have a few days i might as well go and collect my specs. so i did. haha. am now sitting here typing this with my new ted baker specs sitting on my nose, not so close that i can feel my eyelashes smooshed up against the lenses. apparently they now have this thing where they can attach the nosebridge thing that's usually found on wire frames onto plastic framse. so yay for flat nosed people like myself. am not too sure what to make of my new specs though. i don't know if i like them very much. . . . . .but well, my mother and the optician lady agree that they're nice, and i suppose there's always that whole getting-used-to-it phase. anyway. when you see me you can tell me what you think. haha
sigh. ok, going to eat chocolate and read merriman now.
