well, soci paper was today. it kinda sucked. i think i have the dreaded Curse of the First Exam Paper. my mind's always jumbled, with too many ideas and points, without the ability to organise them into a centralised, cohesive argument. siigh. this is NOT a good sign.

but on the bright side, next paper's history, on friday. hence, i decided to spend today COMPLETELY melting my brains, and get back to work tomorrow. so, went to rent dvds from trusty ole VideoEzy. Matchstick Men, Gangs of New York, and Fight Club. just finished watching the first two, and boy were they good. not precisely mind numbing trash, but good all the same. haha. the irony of that statement eh.

but well, they were good. the only issue i have with leo d'c. is that if he wants to take the role of some "my ENTIRE race has a VERY distinct and rather sexxy accent" character, he should go for dialect training and GET the damn accent. i don't know which is worse, having a supposed Irishman with a totally American accent, or a supposed Irishman with a now-you-hear-it-now-you-don't—or-maybe-it-was-your-imagination Irish accent. but on the whole the show was good. Daniel Day-Lewis was excellent, although Cameron Diaz was a little...lacking. also the accent issue with this one, plus the fact that she can't seem to get out of the "There's Something About Mary" mindset.

oh and out of boredom, i decided to build me a blogger blog. (eeling, now you know what i was doing on saturday? heh.)
it's hedony.blogspot, easypeasy to remember. go check it out.

alrighties! on to fight club
